Simon Rusk, nuevo entrenador asistente del CD Castellón
El CD Castellón anuncia la incorporación de Simon Rusk al cuerpo técnico del club, donde asumirá el rol de entrenador asistente.
Nacido el 17 de diciembre de 1981 en Peterborough (Inglaterra), Rusk desarrolló su carrera como futbolista en la posición de centrocampista en diversos clubes del fútbol inglés antes de iniciar una sólida trayectoria en los banquillos.
Como técnico, Rusk destacó especialmente en la cantera del Brighton & Hove Albion, donde dirigió al filial sub-23 y contribuyó a la progresión de numerosos jóvenes talentos hasta la Premier League como Viktor Gyökeres, Robert Sánchez o Ben White. Además, formaba parte del cuerpo técnico del primer equipo. Posteriormente asumió su primera experiencia como primer entrenador en el Stockport County y dirigió a la selección sub-19 de Inglaterra. Más tarde se enroló en la absoluta de Inglaterra y estuvo presente en el Mundial de Qatar 2022 como analista de rivales.
Más recientemente recaló en el Nottingham Forest de la Premier League y posteriormente en el Southampton, donde estuvo al frente del filial en 24 encuentros y ejerció como entrenador interino del primer equipo en la Premier League, dirigiendo un total de 9 partidos. En posesión de la licencia UEFA Pro, llega ahora al conjunto albinegro para aportar toda su experiencia y conocimientos al cuerpo técnico.

CD Castellón has announced the appointment of Simon Rusk to the club’s coaching staff, where he will take on the role of assistant manager.
Born on 17 December 1981 in Peterborough (England), Rusk spent his playing career as a midfielder at various English football clubs before embarking on a successful career in management.
As a coach, Rusk made a particular mark in the youth academy at Brighton & Hove Albion, where he managed the Under-23s and helped numerous young talents progress to the Premier League, including Viktor Gyökeres, Robert Sánchez and Ben White. He was also part of the first-team coaching staff. He subsequently took on his first role as head coach at Stockport County and managed the England Under-19s. He later joined the England senior squad and was present at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as an opposition analyst.
More recently, he joined Premier League side Nottingham Forest and subsequently moved to Southampton, where he managed the reserve team in 24 matches and served as caretaker manager of the first team in the Premier League, overseeing a total of nine matches. A holder of the UEFA Pro licence, he now joins the Black-and-Whites to bring all his experience and expertise to the coaching staff.
